Hello and welcome to Fitzgerald Guitars.

My name is Larry Fitzgerald. I have spent the past 35 years honing my skills in the art of Guitar Building.

I am proud to have gained tremendous experience at some of the greatest guitar shops in the world. My journey began at the national guitar summer work shop studying Guitar building and repairs and restorations. Soon after I worked at DiMarzio Building pickups and gaining an acute understanding of the sonic value of electronics and guitar sounds.

At Mandolin Brothers, the famous Staten Island store that is known for their expertice in vintage instruments , I learned of the nuance and craftsmanship that made instruments like a D'Angelico or a pre-war Martin , Classic Gibson,Fenders Guitars so very special. 

   I also gained a wealth of knowledge working for Rudy Pensa at the famed Rudy's Music in NYC. There alongside renowned builders such as John Suhr, I was fortunate enough to work for some of the World's best players like Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler, Peter Frampton and James Taylor.

    For the past 35 years I have built instruments under the Fitzgerald brand for many famous (and not so famous) musicians. Each instrument that I build is a culmination of years of repair and restoration experience. My instruments offer the very best blend of classic design and modern refinement.
